During the Aluprof family picnic, full of fun and attractions, there were also initiatives of great social importance partnered by Grupa Kęty and the ‘Grupa Kęty for the Children of the Podbeskidzie Region’ Foundation. One of them was the ‘Share Your Home’ programme, promoting the idea of foster parenting. Its aim is to encourage as many families as possible to consider becoming foster parents and take on this extremely important task. At the stand, visitors could talk to specialists, learn about the process of becoming a foster family and get answers to their questions. There were also attractions for the youngest visitors – children could paint pebbles and make a long-tailed tit (the symbol of the programme) out of felt. Another one was the ‘TooWhat’ project promoting mental health prophylactics in children and youths. At this stand, we taught sensitivity, acceptance and mutual relations through educational games. Free psychological counselling was also provided.
