On 5 June, we celebrate the World Environment Day.
The day is to remind us of current environmental problems and the necessity to act for the protection of nature.
It is also an opportunity to show that Grupa Kęty understands environmental protection as the creation of conditions for the development of sustainable and circular production all year round.
Aluminium is a desirable element on the road to climate neutrality.
It perfectly fits the circular economy concept, thanks to high share of recycled materials and low GHG emission intensity.
At our foundry in Kęty, we recycle more than 30,000 tons of scrap metal each year, which involves a significant reduction in using environmental resources, energy consumption and emissions into the environment compared with the production of aluminium from bauxite ore.
This is an ideal time to familiarise with the environmental plans and initiatives of Grupa Kęty presented in the REPORT OF THE MANAGEMENT BOARD ON OPERATIONS IN 2024, compliant with the new European sustainability reporting standards. link
