Sustainable building sector has been developing very fast. A green building, and more specifically – a sustainable building – is energy efficient, comfortable and created with respect for the natural environment. Green building is a direction thanks to which Europe and the world will be able to significantly reduce CO2 emission and consumption of natural resources, contributing to air quality improvement, better economic standing, and also health and welfare of people. For a dozen of years, the construction business – one of the major world’s sources of CO2 emission – has been introducing tools to accelerate change towards green building. Such tools include multi-criteria certifications.
Green buildings certification has been setting the route for the whole construction sector development, which also refers to ALUPROF. The company aims at increasing the share of aluminium systems in energy-saving, passive projects by 20% by 2025. International environmental certificates, such as BREEAM, LEED, DGNB, HQE, or WELL, confirm the growing awareness of climate crisis and the influence brought by the construction sector. Investors and developers more and more frequently select ecological materials and solutions, which considerably improves the quality of investment projects and the life-cycle of the designed buildings. Progress in that area is promising, and each project with Aluprof systems to receive a green building certificate is a pride for us and an incentive to strive for further excellence of the processes and products at the organisation.
