The total of 854 people took part in three events of ‘Let’s Clean the Beskids with the Polish Tatra Society 2026’ initiative, including 609 children and youths. As much as 3,300 litres of waste disappeared from the mountain tracks. And although no bottle or can left behind in the mountains should be there in the first place, this year’s results give cause for cautious optimism – it seems there was less rubbish than in the previous years.
The patron of the initiative is the Polish Tatra Society, Branch in Bielsko-Biała, headed by Szymon Baron who is an employee of Aluprof.
