‘Green Group’ – employee suggestions programme. By way of the ‘Green Group’ programme we have invited our employees to share activities for the ESG Strategy performance, particularly focused on preventing climate change. In 2022 there were 24 suggestions reported, out of which as many as 14 were implemented in 2022, while the remaining ones will be performed in the subsequent year.
The Suggestion-of-the-Year award went to the employees of the Extruded Products Segment. Their idea is a wonderful example of implementing the circular economy concept. The suggestion referred to the cold-water bath for supersaturation at the salt-bath furnace. The system has been redesigned, thanks to which the quantity of water supplying the bath was reduced from 80 m3 to 12 m3 per 8 hours. This translates into savings in water consumption at the level of 10,000 m3 a year.
