On 28 October in Bielsko-Biała, on the initiative of the Social Policy Department of Bielsko-Biała City Council, the informal Social Policy feast was celebrated for the second time. A special gala on that occasion was held at the Bielsko-Biała Cultural Centre of Maria Koterbska. The audience included the most important people of the day – directors and employees of all municipal organisational units involved in social policy as well as non-governmental organisations. Representatives of the business community were also present at the ceremony.
‘Corporate social responsibility is no longer an add-on, but the foundation of modern management. It is extremely encouraging that representatives of the business world recognise the needs of the local community and actively participate in initiatives held for its benefit. Your involvement not only strengthens the specific projects, but above all sends a clear signal that solidarity and social responsibility are values worth nurturing. I am counting on further action, because the combination of business and local government always brings good results’, said Adam Ruśniak, Second Deputy Mayor of Bielsko-Biała, addressing entrepreneurs and heads of municipal companies.
Special words of gratitude were also addressed to Ms Monika Sobczak, CSR Director of Grupa Kęty S.A. and President of the ‘Grupa Kęty for the Children of the Podbeskidzie Region’ Foundation.
