Behind us, the 6th edition of Wings for Life World Run – a global charity run, whose participants support research on the treatment of spinal cord injuries by escaping the “moving finish”. In 2019 total, the race took place in 323 official locations (311 Organized App Runs and 12 street runs with Pursuit Cars were held). About 120,000 took part in 72 countries runners representing 186 nationalities. Together they raised 3.5 million euros!
Our company has had a small contribution to this noble enterprise. The Foundation’s proteges together with the educator proudly represented Grupa KetyTeam. They ran together over 100 km during the run in Poznań.
“Great atmosphere, emotions, emotions” – that’s how they reported their participation in this world event.
As every year, there were no moving moments. One of the most important was the crossing of the starting line on their own, by David Mzee, who was paralyzed as a result of an accident, and thanks to taking part in one of the many groundbreaking research projects subsidized by Wings for Life, today he could go a short distance during the World Run in Zug in Switzerland.
