Environmental Product Declaration Type III ITB No. 930/2026

The Kęty S.A. Group has obtained an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for extruded profiles made from ingots sourced from its own foundry.

Compared to the 2022 EPD, the new certificate shows a lower carbon footprint and a higher proportion of recycled materials in the profiles on offer.

The carbon footprint currently stands at 2.31 kg CO2e/kg. This is primarily due to:

• the production of aluminium via the secondary smelting process at the company’s own foundry (95% lower energy consumption compared with the production of aluminium from bauxite);
• selective collection and an increase in the proportion of scrap in the charge to over 75 per cent;
• measures taken to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption in manufacturing processes and transport.

The values were determined on the basis of the results of the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in an environmental declaration compliant with the EN 15804 standard.

The document was verified by an external expert and holds the status of a European ‘ECO-EPD verified’ declaration.

In addition, the certificate has been published on the ITB sustainable construction portal, meaning that the profiles are recognised within ‘green’ building certification schemes such as BREEAM, LEED and DGNB.

This certification enables us to supply our customers with products of verified environmental performance, allowing them to make informed choices.

This demonstrates the Kęty Group’s responsible approach to the environment and transparency in its operations.
