Crown of Europe – a project of the ‘Grupa Kęty for the Children of the Podbeskidzie Region’ Foundation

In 2024, the ‘Grupa Kęty for the Children of the Podbeskidzie Region’ Foundation commenced a long-term project entitled ‘Crown of Europe’. Another trip with the charges resulted in reaching three peaks of the Crown of Europe. Within one day, the youths climbed the highest peaks of the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg:

Vaalserberg – 322.5 m above sea level (Netherlands),
Signal de Botrange – 694 m above sea level (Belgium), and
Kneiff – 560 m above sea level (Luxembourg).

It is not only a geographical achievement but mainly another important lesson of independence and team work. During the stay in Belgium, the participant met a representative of the Belgian Aluprof company. It was an exceptional opportunity to discuss the possibilities of development and social actions of the company on the international area, and to inspire the young people to further development.

The ‘Grupa Kęty for the Children of the Podbeskidzie Region’ Foundation runs the project in cooperation with the Polish Tatra Society in Bielsko-Biała. Thank you!

Such experiences build a sense of agency, self-confidence and readiness to strive for more in young people – both in their personal and professional lives.
