We are pleased to inform you that Grupa Kęty S.A. became a partner of the campaign “Book supports the Hero”.
What is this action?
The BOOK SUPPORTS THE HERO is for those who like people, books and the environment. This is an initiative of the ARKA Ecological Foundation, which combines several aspects; environmental protection, cultural education and social assistance.
The Foundation gathers unnecessary books from friendly people and participants of the campaign, organizes their fairs giving them a “second life”, and for the funds raised, it sponsors tickets to cinemas, theaters for children from orphanages, community day rooms and fulfills their dreams. The action is about promoting social activities, helping various civil initiatives, building a community in which TOGETHER we can do something for others. Everyone can become a hero according to their capabilities.
The campaign had its beginning in 2018 and it met with unusual interest. In total, the “second life” got about 12,000 books. In the action PLN 38 150 was collected. Thanks to the action, it was possible to invite 1510 children from orphanages, community centers and involve schools from Bielsko-Biała, as well as from Żywiec, Pszczyna, Kęty and Cieszyn . The collected funds will allow to carry out around 40 ecological workshops, which will be organized in orphanages, community centers and involved schools.
Plans for 2019 In 2019, 10 Charity Markets with the Sfera Gallery in Bielsko-Biała are already planned, but the campaign is developing. The plans are to extend it for implementation in Warsaw, Krakow and Katowice.
Grupa Kęty Capital Group joins the group of Action Partners in 2019 – a collection of books will be organized in the company. The beneficiaries of the Grupa Kęty Foundation for Children of Podbeskidzie are beneficiaries of the action, but also volunteers.
