In 2024, a flood destroyed Ursula’s apiary. The water flooded the hives, the studio and the storehouse, destroying all the beekeeping possessions. As soon as the water receded, Grade 3 students and colleagues from Aluprof rushed to help. Thanks to their commitment and work, they were able to tidy up the site and start rebuilding the apiary.
A grant from the ‘Together with the Group’ project enabled the purchase of new beehives and beekeeping equipment, speeding up the reinstatement of the apiary to full working order.
On 20 May, the World Bee Day, it is particularly worth reminding ourselves of the importance of helping others and of the vital role of bees for our environment. By acting together, it is possible not only to support those in need, but also to save our pollinators.
