We gladly support sports events combined with charity aspects, the more so when they are accompanied by health prophylactics.
Such an exceptional event is the ‘Run with Maja’ charity run. Maja is the girl from whom the history of charity runs in Wapienica, Bielsko-Biała started. The runs are devoted to children with cancer. Today, Maja is a teenager who has overcome her illness, but her mother has not stopped organising these events or health promoting activities.
Each edition of the run features a Health Village, offering free medical examinations for both participants and the local community. During the 12th edition, the Town lasted two days, during which time it was possible to undergo tests for Lyme disease, get ovarian and prostate tumour marker tests done, have moles checked, or have an ECG and learn first aid. Additionally, at the stand of the ‘TooWhat’ project focusing on health prophylactics in children and youths, there was a possibility to consult a psychologist free of charge.
We are delighted that our organisation can support such important and necessary initiatives.
