The Power of Synergy – SELT joins a large family of Grupa Kęty
After several years of fast growth based on three strong segments of operation, our Group will expand for a new business line as a result of taking-over of one of our long-term partners!
The product portfolio of SELT comprises such popular architectural solutions as external blinds, pergolas, awnings, sunbreakers, reflex screens, and verandas.
The company joining our Group:
- avails itself of four modern plants located in Opole and a new plant in Rogów Opolski with a plot of land within the Katowice Special Economic Zone, which provides the opportunity of further development of the assets;
- boasts a long history of operation on foreign markets (currently approximately 45% of SELT products are sold there);
- possesses and exceptional machinery and engineering potential (including high pressure aluminium die casting foundry of the capacity of 250 tons/year and 7 machining centres) as well as its own vehicle fleet of 28 trucks and 22 delivery vans.
SELT in numbers
For SELT, the merger with the largest aluminium holding in this part of Europe means new opportunities for development and expansion, also on foreign markets. For Grupa KĘTY it is a perfect occasion to:
- naturally extend and optimise the value chain and effectively develop its business model;
- strengthen the other segments of the Capital Group (SELT is a key recipient of the Extruded Products Segment, which gains the opportunity to increase sales from 2,000 to 6,000 tons of aluminium profiles a year);
- extend the product portfolio within a prospective market, whose development is a response to the global climate change and sustainable transformation of the construction sector;
- avail of a number of synergies as regards purchasing, sales and customer service.
Mutual benefits
I expect that SELT will be our springboard to further expansion on European markets. Availing of all advantages brought by the transaction will enable SELT to watch its sales rocket in the years 2025 and 2026, and the KĘTY Capital Group to continue its fast growth.
The take-over decision stemmed from the exceptional complementarity of business models, which do not comprise any mutually colliding or cannibalising elements. The merger will be effected within Grupa KĘTY Aluminium Systems Segment (and specifically the plant of Aluprof Opole neighbouring the assets owned by SELT), based on close cooperation with the Management Board of Grupa KĘTY, and specifically the CEO of Aluprof S.A. Tomasz Grela and the new CEO of SELT Andrzej Niedbalski.
By way of SELT merger with Aluprof Opole plant we wish to create a European leader in the sector of sun protection systems.
