‘Bike Helps’ is an initiative organised by ‘ARKA’ Ecological Foundation from Bielsko-Biała.
The campaign aims mainly at persuading its participants to ride bikes. For kilometres ridden together, Arka donates a bike to a child from a children’s home or a daycare centre. The campaign involves events, press conferences, promotion in the media, social media activity and information booths. At roweropomaga.pl, one can use a special CO2 calculator. After signing a proper agreement, ‘Grupa Kęty for the Children of Podbeskidzie Region’ Foundation joined the group of the campaign Beneficiaries.
On Monday, September 26, at Chrobry square in Bielsko-Biała, children and teenagers had a chance to participate in ecological workshops organised by ARKA Ecological Foundation. Bikes were given away at 4 pm. Two of them were given to the Foundation. The first bike was donated for 20,000 kilometres!! The second one was for extra points that were not assigned to any specific purpose and Arka Foundation awarded them to ‘Grupa Kęty for the Children of Podbeskidzie Region’ Foundation.
The bikes, still on the day of the event, were given to children and teenagers from the children’s home in Bielsko-Biała.
The Foundation would like to give special thanks to ALL participants who added their kilometres at www.rowerpomaga.pl. Thanks to you, we could give the bikes to kids from the children’s home in Bielsko-Biała.
