18 March – Global Recycling Day.

SDG:

The Global Recycling Day held annually on 18 March is aimed at raising social awareness with regard to the importance of recycling for the natural environment protection. It was first introduced in 1994 by the United Nations Environment Programme authority.

Following our mission ‘For the future…’, we act according to the recycling principles:

♻ recycling is one of the key methods of environmental protection and preventing waste generation, as well as a method of CO2 emission reduction;

♻ we segregate and process nearly 100% of aluminium waste produced at our plants;

♻ the waste is used as a component in manufacturing new aluminium profiles, which significantly reduces our carbon footprint; just compare the value of carbon dioxide emission by low-emission aluminium profiles from recycled aluminium of 3.3 t CO2 with the global average of as much as 16.7 t CO2.

Together we can create a green future!
