On September the 11th in Grupa Kęty S.A. there was a specialized training oragnised for interested employees. Grupa Kęty has signed an agreement with the JPII Hospital in Krakow as part of the Health Program in prevention and detection of cardiovascular diseases in the population of the Małopolska voivodship for the years 2012-2018, financed from the funds of the Małopolska Voivodship.
Cardiovascular diseases are still the most common cause of death in Poland. They affect not only the elderly, but also people of working age, being the most common cause of premature deaths and one of the most common causes of disability. The basic method of preventing cardiovascular disease is lifestyle modification, including in particular the use of a healthy diet, adequate physical activity and avoidance of stimulants.
The training program covered topics related to the principles of a healthy lifestyle, symptoms of heart attack and stroke as well as practical information on how to prevent them. Thirty employees participated in the training.
