The Aluminum Stewardship Initiative (ASI) is a global standards-setting and certification organization that brings together the largest aluminum industry producers.
It focuses its activities on environmental and social issues throughout the chain of aluminum production and use: from the extraction of raw material bauxite, through its processing, production, to aluminum recycling. ASI sets standards and conducts certification processes in the aluminum sector.
The mere acquisition of membership by the Capital Group required a detailed verification of our company. However, our goal is not to participate in the work of the association itself, but to obtain a certificate confirming compliance with the requirements of the “Performance standard ASI” in the processes of secondary melting, extrusion and processing of our products. The Performance Standard defines 59 requirements within the three pillars of sustainable development – management, environment and social affairs. It sets a high bar not only for production practices, but also for sourcing raw materials and product management.
Sustainable development is a key element of the strategy of Grupa KĘTY S.A. so certification of the company in accordance with the latest industry standards will be the next step in achieving this goal. We are aware that we influence the environment, but we act in such a way as to minimize this impact. We hope the ASI standard will help to further demonstrate the environmental dimension of our business.
