Bike Helps’ is a programme comprising a number of goals, including promotion of a healthy lifestyle, care for the environment and support to the charges of the children’s homes. In other words, it combines sports, ecology and charity. Any person who rides a bike may record their kilometres driven on a special platform. The kilometres are converted into bikes which are given to children in children’s homes. Strongly emphasised is also the ecological aspect, owing to the fact that when using a bike we limit the emissions of carbon dioxide – there is a special converter on the website to calculate the CO2 emission reduction.
All of the Capital Group companies and their staff have taken active part in the initiative. From the commencement of cooperation in 2016, the charges of the ‘Grupa Kęty for the Children of the Podbeskidzie Region’ Foundation have already been given 74 bikes. Now the 2021 season starts! Join us and pedal! The kilometres may be recorded on the site: https://rowerpomaga.pl/, and the goal is: “I ride for the ‘Grupa Kęty for the Children of the Podbeskidzie Region’ Foundation”.
On 10 March there was held the initiative opening happening and a meeting at the office of the Grupa Kęty Management Board for the purpose of signing cooperation agreements for year 2021 (in the photo: Wojciech Owczarz, President of the ARKA Ecological Foundation, and Monika Sobczak, President of the ‘Grupa Kęty for the Children of the Podbeskidzie Region’ Foundation).
