21 March – The International Day of Forests

SDG:

On 21 March we celebrate the International Day of Forests.

The day was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly on 28 November 2012.

The purpose is to raise awareness of the importance of forests for human beings and encourage the propagation of such activities as trees planting or forests cleaning.

In the face of climate change, it is important that live trees absorb a great amount of carbon dioxide. Addressing the climate challenge, Grupa Kęty SA is going to launch a project of ‘70,000 Trees for the 70th Anniversary of the Company (2023)’. More details soon.
